Due to Google [effecting the net], all external content is referred to its HTML context.

Such as: a specific external content [… and its embeding context.]

Exceptions: 'none permanent' URL, endless code (some blogs), unknown origin (mainly with PDF and some images), multiple reference to same [image] source, embeded video, and severe NONSENSE.

Google Images [currently] does not distinguish embedded objects from [hot]linked content. It correlates any referring HTML context that 'defines' images 'in a way' matching an inquiry. So far I’ve not been able to avoid such faulty attributions.

In order to convince Google:
a) properly 'designate' images and
b) provide an 'unique' HTML context that I can referrer to …

Referred sites may relocate or even shut down. In order to retrace external content, additional information (title, author …) is being added to vital links [using the 'title' tag]. This information will be ignored by search engines, but shows 'on mouse over'.

Links to specific preview pages [http://books.google.com/] turned out "non permanent" over time. Therefore such previews are [and will be] fully cited.

When using [my] content, make certain you know what you are actually referring to! DON'T quote me quoting someone else’s quotes … (for that is what I do </ironic>)

A "source" is noted using Roman numerals. Its position within a text is marked by Arabic numerals (e.g.: I.) 7, II.) 8, III) 9, II.) Img. _01, I.) 10 ), allowing for "endnote-blocks" and easy cross-referencing.
